Dog Bites
Pennsylvania law requires dog owners to keep their pets supervised or restrained appropriately. A dog bite can cause permanent injury and infection which may result in time away from work, pain and suffering, and medical expenses. To recover damages, a victim must prove that the dog inflicted severe injury on him or her without provocation. It does not matter whether the dog previously bit a person prior to the incident or not. Animal owners may not be the only people held responsible for animal bites. Other individuals may be held liable such as animal keepers, parents of minors who own the animal, property owners, and landlords. If you or your child has been injured by a dog attack, contact law enforcement, seek medical attention, and contact an attorney immediately. For more information, see our information about premises liability.
If you have been injured on someone else’s property due to someone failing to supervise their animal, you should contact the attorneys at Warren McGraw & Knowles LLC immediately.
